We provide many professional development opportunities for teachers to learn and grow.Responsibilities and Duties:• Interacting and connecting with children, families, and J Los Angeles partners in ways that support strong relationships, respect, and collaboration.• Working in a team to maintain a healthy, safe, and engaging classroom environment, develop curriculum and care for a group of 12-18 preschoolers.• Supporting a rich play-based curriculum based in Judaic values and traditions and a strong view of children as learners and thinkers.• Approaching conflicts as opportunities to learn and coaching children to be problem solvers.Qualifications and Skills• A minimum of 12 ECE units• At least 1 year of experience working with young children in a school or center setting• Excellent communication skills• Willingness to work collaboratively and problem solve• Ability to be self-directed, manage time and complete projects• Open to learning, ability to self-reflect regularly• Able to meet the physical demands of the position (i.e., care for active young children, repetitive bending and lifting)• Current pediatric CPR/First Aid certification (Must be willing to obtain)J Los Angeles is an equal opportunity employer committed to complying with all applicable laws providing equal employment opportunity and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
