Overview:

The Foggy Dog is looking for a talented Part-Time Freelance Graphic Designer to support our Marketing and Creative teams for approximately 20 hours per week. The primary focus of this role will be designing compelling, on-brand marketing emails, with the opportunity to support additional digital channels including paid advertising and website.

We’re looking for someone with strong DTC and ecommerce experience who understands how to balance beautiful brand design with the needs of performance-driven marketing channels. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, detail-oriented, efficient, and comfortable working within an established brand identity while bringing a strong design point of view to the work.

This is an ongoing freelance role for someone who can dedicate consistent days each week to The Foggy Dog during business hours Pacific Time. We are open to both remote candidates and candidates local to the San Francisco Bay Area.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with our Marketing and Creative teams to design eye-catching, on-brand digital assets.
• Design marketing emails from concept through final execution, bringing campaign briefs, campaign concepts and messaging to life through thoughtful layout, typography, imagery, illustrations and visual storytelling.
• Create paid social and digital advertising assets as needed, with an understanding of best practices for performance marketing creative.
• Translate existing campaign concepts and brand guidelines into cohesive creative across digital touchpoints.
• Work within established templates and systems while identifying opportunities to elevate and evolve creative.
• Incorporate feedback efficiently and accurately while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Participate in marketing and creative meetings to discuss upcoming campaigns, content, design strategy and timelines.
• Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to manage priorities and deliver assets on schedule.

About You:

• 4+ years of professional graphic design experience, ideally with a DTC, ecommerce, lifestyle, fashion, or consumer brand.
• Strong portfolio of digital marketing work, with particular strength in email design and a deep understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, layout, mobile-first design, and conversion best practices.
• Experience designing for paid social and ecommerce websites is a plus, but not required.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Strong eye for typography, color, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Comfortable working within an established brand identity and adapting campaign creative across different formats.
• Highly organized, responsive, and detail-oriented.
• Able to work efficiently and manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative, communicative, and comfortable receiving and incorporating feedback.
• Available approximately 20 hours per week on consistent, predetermined days during PT business hours.
• Able to commit to an ongoing freelance partnership rather than project-by-project availability.

Compensation:

• $65-80/hr depending on experience.
