CT Technologist Job Summary This position is for a dedicated CT Technologist to join a healthcare team in Kenmore, New York. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of computed tomography procedures on diverse patient populations, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient safety and comfort. This role involves operating advanced CT equipment, preparing patients for scans, and collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver precise diagnostic imaging services. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostic CT scans in accordance with established protocols and physician orders. Position patients safely and accurately for optimal image acquisition. Administer contrast media as required, following proper safety guidelines and protocols. Monitor patients during procedures, recognizing and responding to any adverse reactions or emergencies. Ensure image quality, review scans for completeness, and transmit images to PACS. Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly. Accurately document patient information, procedures performed, and any relevant observations. Adhere to all radiation safety regulations and institutional policies. Required Qualifications Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Current ARRT (R) certification. Current ARRT (CT) certification. Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications Not specified. Skills & Competencies Proficiency in operating various CT scanner models. Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging principles. Excellent patient care and communication skills.
