When you join Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), you're committing to making a difference. We make a commitment to you, too helping you to find that spark, ignite your passion to serve, and embark on a career with meaning and purpose.

At WWP, we recognize our mission cannot be accomplished without our talented teammates, which is why we're proud to offer benefits such as:

  • A flexible hybrid work schedule (three days in the office, two days' work from home)
  • Full medical, dental, and vision coverage for both teammates AND family members
  • Competitive pay and performance incentives
  • A fun, mission-focused, and collaborative team environment

A mission that matters is just the beginning, so if you're ready to get started, we're ready for you.

The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Vice President of Network provides strategic leadership for the development, performance, growth, and optimization of WWP's network portfolio, guiding a national ecosystem of clinical, academic, community, industry, and healthcare partners that expand access to specialized mental and brain health care for veterans and their families. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Complex Care, this role oversees the Warrior Care Network, strategic healthcare partnerships, network expansion, and emerging care models to improve access, quality, outcomes, innovation, and long-term sustainability across the care delivery ecosystem. Working collaboratively across Care Coordination and Transformation and with external partners, the Vice President advances integrated solutions that strengthen the continuum of care, translate research and innovation into scalable practices, and support WWP's vision to transform veteran mental and brain health nationwide.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead WWP's Network portfolio as the executive responsible for building, optimizing, and scaling the national care ecosystem that advances access, quality, innovation, and outcomes across veteran mental and brain health care.
  • Develop and execute a long-term network strategy that aligns with WWP's vision to transform veteran mental and brain health, strengthens WWP's position as a national leader in specialized care, and ensures warriors can access the right care, at the right time, through the right partner or pathway.
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Warrior Care Network and other network-based partnerships, including all clinical and operational functions within the Network portfolio, ensuring consistent performance, accountability, quality, and impact across the care ecosystem.
  • Expand, optimize, and integrate a coordinated national system of clinical, academic, community, and industry partners that increases access to specialized mental and brain health services and adapts to evolving veteran needs over time.
  • Cultivate and manage executive-level relationships with academic medical centers, healthcare systems, researchers, government agencies, veteran-serving organizations, philanthropic partners, and other strategic partners to advance shared goals, negotiate complex partnerships, and strengthen system capacity.
  • Establish governance structures, performance standards, and collaboration frameworks that align network partners around shared outcomes, data-driven decision making, continuous improvement, and delivery of a consistent veteran experience.
  • Define and manage network performance expectations, including access, quality, outcomes, warrior experience, partner accountability, sustainability, return on investment, and responsible stewardship of WWP investments.
  • In collaboration with the Transformation portfolio, operationalize emerging care models, advanced therapies, technologies, research findings, and evidence-based practices through scalable network partnerships, programs, and system-level solutions that improve access, quality, and outcomes for veterans.
  • Drive network growth and expansion by identifying partnership opportunities that address gaps in care, increase geographic reach, strengthen clinical capabilities, improve throughput, and support evolving veteran needs.
  • Collaborate with leaders across Care Coordination and Transformation to ensure network strategies support an integrated continuum of care, clarify handoffs across the warrior journey, and align with organizational priorities.
  • Represent WWP in national forums, conferences, policy discussions, and strategic partnerships to advance awareness, influence systems change, strengthen the veteran healthcare ecosystem, and position WWP as a thought leader in veteran mental and brain health.
  • Provide fiduciary oversight for Network portfolio investments, contracts, resource allocation, and strategic growth initiatives, ensuring long-term sustainability and responsible stewardship of organizational resources.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

  • Thorough understanding of and extensive experience in budget management and fiduciary oversight principles.
  • Advanced data-informed performance-management skills, including the ability to establish outcomes, evaluate partner performance, assess return on investment, and use insights to improve access, quality, sustainability, and impact.
