The Controller is responsible for overseeing all areas relating to accounting functions and financial reporting. This position will be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly accounting tasks and activities.
Key functions include but are not limited to the following:
Advanced knowledge/skill in various accounting areas, such as reinsurance, GL, statutory and GAAP reporting, taxes and statistical reporting.
Strong working knowledge of Excel, Hyperion and other data management tools, including pivot tables & V lookups.
Experience with Peoplesoft software (GL, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable) a plus.
Five or more years of accounting experience in an insurance environment.
CPA preferred or advanced insurance accounting education, such as AIAF, CPCU, and other commensurate experience.
Successfully completed INS designation.
Performance appraisal attain Exceeds Expectations rating and achieve major objectives.
Education Requirement
4-year college degree in accounting or business.

The company offers a competitive compensation plan and robust benefits package for full-time regular employees which for this role include: Base Salary Range: $92,000-$171,000 Eligible to participate in annual discretionary bonus. Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Wellness, Paid Time Off, 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plans. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
