Data Center Deployment And Materials Team Member
The Data Center Deployment and Materials team at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a dynamic group of professionals dedicated to delivering state-of-the-art data center facilities at scale and pace. The team comprises experienced project managers who collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure the successful execution of complex data center infrastructure and network projects.
The team plays a crucial role in supporting OCI's data center capacity needs and driving the organization's continued growth and success.
In this role, you will be part of the Low Voltage Vendor Management (LVV) team and will collaborate with internal OCI teams and external cabling vendors to deliver new sites, support space and power expansions, and add customer capacity. The LVV team is seeking experienced vendor managers who have worked directly in infrastructure deployment or supported continuous improvement initiatives focused on delivering data center capacity at scale. Your ability to anticipate and mitigate risks to data center delivery will be critical to maintaining project timelines. This is a high-impact role responsible for leading, driving, and ensuring the successful delivery of critical data center infrastructure builds on our roadmap. The position offers a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy and requires effective engagement with a wide range of stakeholders, including design, engineering, operations, supply chain, external vendors, and network delivery teams.
Responsibilities
Major responsibilities include:
- End-to-End Delivery: Own the end-to-end delivery of assigned workstreams, including vendor management, the procurement lifecyclefrom requests for proposals through purchase order issuancecontinuous improvement, training and education, and customer delivery.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines and costs.
- Project Management: Oversee a broad portfolio of global data center projects, with the goal of delivering capacity to customers on time and as efficiently as possible.
- Project Planning: Develop and implement long-term strategies that reduce complexity and increase the speed of delivery for data center infrastructure projects.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders. Provide regular project status updates, conduct monthly business reviews, and address concerns promptly. Frequent communication with executive leadership is expected
