Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant
Assignment Details

• Location: Springfield, Oregon

• Coverage Need: 1.0 FTE / Gap Coverage

• Inpatient Beds: 36
• EMR: Epic

Compensation

• Daily: $1,080 per 24 Hours
• 24-Hour Call: $1,350 per 24 Hours
• Night Call: $915/shift
• Call Back: $270/hour

Schedule

• 12-Hour and/or 24-Hour Call Shifts
• Weekday Day Call: 7:00 AM-5:00 PM
• Weekday Night Call: 5:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Weekday 24-Hour Call: 7:00 AM-7:00 AM
• Weekend 24-Hour Call Available
• Approximately 6 Call Shifts Per Month
• Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
• For Shifts Beginning at 7:00 AM, Provider Must Report at the Beginning of the Shift for Handoff, Rounding, and Other Clinical Responsibilities

Current Coverage Gaps

• October 3 and 4
• November 5, 25, 26, and 27
• December 12, 13, 16, 24, 28, and 31
• Current Gaps Are Primarily Night Shifts

Patient Population / Volume

• Vascular / Endovascular Patient Population
• Approximately 15-20 Patients Per Day

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide Inpatient and Outpatient Vascular Surgery Coverage
• Perform Patient Rounding
• Manage Admissions
• Provide First Assist in the Operating Room
• Assist With In-Clinic Procedures
• Participate in Scheduled Call Coverage
• Collaborate With Vascular Surgery Physicians

Required Procedures / Skills

• Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Patient Management
• Operating Room First Assist
• Assistance With In-Clinic Procedures
• Inpatient Rounding
• Admissions

Clinical Environment / Support

• Provider Will Not Work Solo
• MD/DO Support Available

Requirements

• At Least 2 Years of Clinical Experience in Vascular Surgery - Required
• Active Oregon License Preferred for October and November Coverage
• Candidates Without an Oregon License May Be Considered for Later Coverage Dates
• BLS - Required
• ACLS - Required
• BLS and ACLS Must Be From the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, as Applicable
• Epic Experience - Required
• COVID-19 Vaccination - Required, No Exemptions
• Recent Clinical Activity Documentation - Required

Recent Clinical Activity Requirements

• Must Provide Documentation of Clinical Services Representative of the Scope and Complexity of Requested Privileges During the Previous 24 Months
• First, Second, or Third Assist in General Surgery and Surgical Sub-Specialties Requires Documentation of Training and Competency
• Surgical Case Logs From the Previous 24 Months - Required
• Case Logs Must Include Documentation From the Surgeon Identifying Whether Assistance Was as First, Second, or Third Assist
• First Assist Privileges Require Specific Documentation of Training and Competency, Including Type and Number of Procedures Performed During the Previous 2 Years and the Name and Contact Information of the Primary Operator
