Food Service Manager
A school building Food Service Manager oversees all aspects of the school's food service operations, ensuring efficient and compliant meal preparation and service. This includes managing staff, ordering supplies, maintaining sanitation and safety, and adhering to nutritional guidelines and financial responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Prior food service experience preferred.
- Demonstrates ability to read, reason, and perform simple math functions.
- Follows written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to keep and maintain records and reports.
- Ability to communicate and work effectively with kitchen and school staff.
- Must enjoy working with students of all ages.
- Maintains good attendance record.
- ServSafe certification or ability to get certified.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Bending, pushing, and pulling are required.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities (may include but not be limited to)
- Orders food and supplies.
- Maintains appropriate inventory.
- Completes daily production records, temperature logs, and all other required paperwork.
- Prepares and serves breakfast and lunch according to USDA guidelines.
- Maintains cleanliness of the kitchen.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including temporary assignments in other buildings when necessary to adequately staff the department.
Salary: $16.25 and up commensurate with experience

The fingerprinting is conducted by a third party and is at the expense of the applicant. The cost for fingerprinting is approximately $60.00.
