Emish Restaurant is a Ukrainian and European restaurant located in Federal Way, WA. We are looking for an experienced and reliable Line Cook to join our kitchen team and help us prepare high-quality Ukrainian and European dishes.The ideal candidate is a hardworking culinary professional who takes pride in their work, can follow recipes and kitchen procedures, works efficiently during busy service, and maintains high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and safety.What You'll DoPrepare and cook Ukrainian and European dishes according to recipes and restaurant standardsComplete food preparation and mise en place for daily serviceWork efficiently at an assigned kitchen stationFollow recipes, portion sizes, preparation methods, and presentation standardsPrepare ingredients including vegetables, meats, sauces, soups, and other food itemsCook food to the required quality, temperature, and presentation standardsMaintain consistent food quality and portion controlCommunicate effectively with the kitchen team during serviceWork closely with the Sous Chef and Head ChefKeep your station clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout the shiftMonitor food levels at your station and communicate when additional preparation is neededProperly store, label, and rotate food productsMinimize food waste and use ingredients efficientlyFollow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety proceduresClean and sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and kitchen areasAssist other kitchen team members when neededComplete opening and closing kitchen duties as assignedMaintain a professional, respectful, and team-oriented attitudeWork Schedule: Full-time or part-time; schedule will be discussed during the interview. Weekend and holiday availability is required.Pay & Compensation: $22+/h + tips (Competitive pay based on experience and qualifications).Benefits:Full-time employees are eligible for competitive employee benefits including paid sick leave (1 hour per 40 hours worked), 5 paid holidays.Required QualificationsPrevious professional kitchen or line cook experienceAbility to prepare food efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environmentAbility to follow recipes and detailed preparation instructionsBasic knowledge of professional cooking techniquesAbility to work effectively as part of a kitchen teamStrong attention to food quality, portion sizes, and presentationKnowledge of basic food safety and sanitation practicesAbility to maintain a clean and organized workstationAbility to work efficiently under pressure during busy serviceReliable and punctualProfessional and respectful attitudeAbility to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbsAbility to work weekends and holidaysPreferred QualificationsExperience preparing Ukrainian cuisineExperience preparing European or Eastern European cuisineExperience working in a high-volume restaurantExperience working multiple kitchen stationsWashington State Food Worker Card or ability to obtain oneCulinary education or professional culinary trainingIf you do not have professional kitchen experience or are unable to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment, please do not apply.
