This role assists with patient assessment, cardiovascular testing, patient education, monitoring programs, and care coordination to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.The Cardiac Technician helps facilitate a positive patient experience while supporting the practice's mission of delivering exceptional cardiovascular care through teamwork, clinical excellence, compassion, innovation, and prevention.Our Mission, Vision, and ValuesOur mission is to deliver exceptional, patient-centered cardiovascular care through clinical excellence, innovation, research, and timely access, helping people live longer, healthier lives.Our vision is to be the region's most trusted and innovative independent cardiovascular practice, setting a higher standard for access, outcomes, patient experience, value, and the advancement of heart care.This role contributes to that mission by helping patients navigate their cardiovascular journey through education, compassionate care, accurate diagnostics, and seamless coordination of services.InnovationWe thoughtfully adopt proven diagnostics, technologies, therapies, and care models that improve outcomes, safety, access, and the patient experience.IndependenceWe answer to our patients, not a corporate system, giving us the freedom to make decisions based on what is right.PreventionWe do not just treat heart disease; we work to prevent it through evidence-based, proactive carepassionWe honor the trust patients place in us with empathy, transparency, and respect.Research & DiscoveryWe contribute to the future of cardiovascular care through high-quality clinical research and carefully selected clinical trials.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPatient Care & Clinical SupportPrepare patients for clinic visits, examinations, and cardiovascular testing.Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, medication reconciliation, and cardiovascular risk factors.Perform and accurately document 12-lead ECG/EKG testing.Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and patient flow.Provide patient education regarding cardiovascular conditions, prescribed treatments, medications, testing, and lifestyle modifications.Recognize and appropriately escalate urgent patient concerns or abnormal findings.Diagnostic Testing & MonitoringAssist with cardiac stress testing and related cardiovascular diagnostic procedures.Support ambulatory monitoring programs, including Holter monitors, event monitors, and mobile cardiac telemetry devices.Instruct patients on proper monitor use and troubleshooting.Ensure diagnostic equipment is properly maintained and prepared for patient use.Collect and document testing information accurately within the electronic medical record.Care CoordinationCoordinate diagnostic testing, referrals, and follow-up appointmentsmunicate effectively with patients, providers, hospitals, referring offices, and ancillary departments.Assist with prior authorization and cardiovascular testing workflows as assigned.Support quality initiatives, clinical compliance efforts, and performance improvement activities.
