Your Role as a Navigate Program ManagerThe Program Manager – Navigate heads our programmatic efforts for the Navigate Access Program serving rural Oregon communities. This position will work with the Director of Programs to supervise a team of Advising Specialists and is responsible for ensuring students receive high-quality, data-informed, community-centered support to navigate their paths to and through college. This role is responsible for building and managing partnerships with rural schools and districts across the State and elevating the needs of rural Oregon communities within College Possible spaces. The Program Manager brings strong leadership, project management, and student-centered strategy to day-to-day operations and long-term program goals. This position is remote, with preference for candidates living in or experience with rural Oregon communities. Some travel required. Candidates living in Portland Metro will work in a hybrid capacity at our Portland office.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure Program Quality & Provide Organizational Management: Oversee and ensure the delivery of high-quality college access programming to high school students. Oversee the implementation of the College Possible curriculum and ensure that Advising Specialists receive adequate training, resources and guidance to successfully support students and achieve program goals.Strategic Planning and Leadership: As the Navigate program continues to evolve, strategic vision for the long-term sustainability of the program is needed. The Program Manager works with the Program Director and Executive Director on strategy to build the vision, structures, programming and relationships that will lay the foundation for a robust sustainable program.Partner Management: Develop new partnerships and work to deepen existing partnerships with high schools, associated districts, and local communities; and foster successful communication as the lead representative of College Possible Oregon. Coordinate and attend in-person events (typically twice per year in each region) to support recruitment, partnership development, and student workshop events.Supervise, Train, and Support Program Staff: Supervise Advising Specialists and any related staff for the Navigate team. Provide regular support, guidance and oversight to ensure excellence in service, troubleshooting problems, and issues as they arise, and evaluating performance through regular check-ins and observations. Collaborate with the Access Manager in the development and implementation of a training calendar and professional development.Project Leadership: Take ownership of assigned program projects, responsible for developing project expectations, rollouts, and trainings, as well as overseeing implementation and collaboration with appropriate teams.Evaluate, Track and Report on Progress: Collect and analyze data that demonstrates student and program outcomes and use that information for program management, training development and reporting to stakeholders.Manage Navigate Program Budget for the Site: Develops and implements Navigate program budget each fiscal year. Evaluates program-related expenditures. Analyzes budget performance on a monthly basis.Oversee Student Recruitment Efforts for the Program: Utilize organizational student recruitment resources to develop and implement a statewide recruitment strategy and travel plan, working with partner schools, districts, and organizations, to meet yearly recruitment goals for Navigate cohorts.Other duties as assigned.What You BringEducation/Certifications/Licenses:Bachelor's degree requiredputer/Software Skills:Strong computer skills, including demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Products.Related Experience:Experience working in systems of education (secondary and/or post-secondary)Knowledge of and experience living and/or working within rural Oregon communities.
