The HT Group has partnered with a trusted client in the distribution sector seeking a hands-on Controller to lead the accounting function for a growing organization and help strengthen the financial processes, controls, and reporting needed to support continued expansion. Reporting directly to the CEO, this highly visible role will take ownership of accounting accuracy, monthly close, cash-flow management, working-capital reporting, inventory accounting, and financial controls. The Controller will also play an important role in transitioning selected accounting responsibilities from external providers to an internally managed structure. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accounting leader who enjoys improving processes, building structure, and providing executive leadership with reliable financial insight.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Controller who enjoys building and improving an accounting function rather than simply maintaining one. This individual should be comfortable identifying issues, strengthening processes, enforcing accountability, and translating financial information into clear business insights for senior leadership.
This role is especially well suited for someone who combines strong accounting fundamentals with a practical understanding of inventory, cash flow, working capital, lender requirements, and systems/process improvement.
