Infrastructure Engineer

CSI Companies is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to support our client's Infrastructure as Code (IaC) initiative. This role will focus on designing, automating, and managing Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform and GitHub while helping establish scalable, repeatable deployment processes and CI/CD best practices. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on cloud engineer with deep experience in Azure, infrastructure automation, and secure cloud operations.

Hours: 40 hours/week
Location: Remote (United States Only)
Pay: Market Rate, based on relevant experience, education, and credentials
Position Type: W-2 Contract (6 Months + Potential Extensions)

• Candidates must be physically located within the United States and perform all work from within the United States throughout the duration of the assignment.

What You'll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
• Deploy and manage Azure cloud infrastructure in secure, scalable, and highly available environments.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure deployments and operational processes.
• Partner with engineering teams to implement infrastructure standards, governance, and best practices.
• Manage infrastructure configurations using GitHub and GitHub Actions.
• Develop reusable infrastructure modules and templates to support enterprise cloud adoption.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure performance, reliability, and security.
• Implement cloud security controls and operational best practices across Azure environments.
• Document infrastructure designs, deployment procedures, and operational standards.
• Support ongoing cloud modernization and automation initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Expertise using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience building and supporting cloud infrastructure within enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of GitHub, GitHub Actions, and version control best practices.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience automating infrastructure deployment and management processes.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, infrastructure security, and governance principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience launching or expanding an Infrastructure as Code program.
• Experience supporting highly scalable cloud-native applications.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and additional automation platforms.
• Experience implementing cloud compliance and security frameworks.
• Microsoft Azure certifications.
• Experience working within high-growth technology organizations.
