We are seeking a hands on Continuous Improvement Engineer with strong manufacturing equipment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and process improvement experience.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working directly on the manufacturing floor, troubleshooting equipment and production issues, identifying root causes, and implementing practical improvements that increase equipment reliability, reduce downtime, improve productivity, and reduce waste.
This is not primarily a desk based Continuous Improvement position. The successful candidate will work directly with production equipment, maintenance technicians, operators, and engineering teams to solve problems and improve manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities
• Work directly on the manufacturing floor to identify equipment and process issues• Troubleshoot production equipment, recurring downtime, process failures, and manufacturing inefficiencies• Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment and production problems• Improve equipment reliability, uptime, productivity, throughput, quality, and process capability• Reduce downtime, scrap, waste, production delays, and other manufacturing losses• Partner closely with maintenance technicians, operators, production supervisors, engineering, and quality teams• Recommend and implement improvements to manufacturing equipment, tooling, processes, workflow, and production methods• Support equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, commissioning, and production trials• Utilize Continuous Improvement methods such as Lean, Kaizen, 5S, OEE, standard work, process analysis, and problem solving tools• Monitor equipment and production performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities• Develop and improve SOPs, work instructions, maintenance practices, and standardized processes• Promote equipment reliability, safety, quality, productivity, and Continuous Improvement
Qualifications• Hands on experience in a manufacturing or industrial production environment• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting manufacturing equipment and production problems• Experience improving equipment performance, reliability, uptime, or manufacturing processes• Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions• Understanding of preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, production machinery, and manufacturing processes• Experience reducing downtime, scrap, waste, defects, or production bottlenecks• Experience with Lean, Kaizen, 5S, OEE, standard work, or similar Continuous Improvement methods preferred• Equipment installation, commissioning, modification, or production trial experience is a plus• Ability to work directly with maintenance technicians, machine operators, production teams, and engineers
Engineering or technical education preferred, although equivalent hands on manufacturing and maintenance experience will be considered
