Overview

The FP&A Analyst, Capital Investments leads financial analyses that underpin some of the Company's most significant capital investment decisions. The position serves as a key member of the team responsible for evaluating, prioritizing, and monitoring the strategic investments that drive the Company's long-term growth, reliability, and operational excellence. In addition, the FP&A Analyst, Capital Investments will play a leading role in leveraging AI-enabled tools to improve financial processes, enhance analysis, and support better decision making across the organization. The responsibilities for this highly visible role include building business cases, performing cost-benefit analyses, modeling operational and financial scenarios used to evaluate and approve strategic capital projects. The analyst will work closely with stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance, helping translate complex business challenges into actionable investment recommendations. The position offers a unique opportunity to gain direct exposure to senior leadership, including the CFO, COO, and functional Vice Presidents, and to regularly present analyses and recommendations that influence the Company's capital allocation decisions. Detailed Roles & Responsibilities

Build and maintain capital investment models, including cash flow forecasts, NPV, IRR, payback, sensitivity analysis and scenario comparisons. Partner with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Accounting and project sponsors to validate scope, cost, timing, risks, benefits, useful-life assumptions, capital-versus-expense treatment and closeout documentation. Prepare executive-ready business cases and recommendations that explain strategic rationale, alternatives, assumptions, returns and decision risks. Support annual capital planning, forecasts and long-range planning by consolidating submissions, challenging assumptions. Apply AI tools and advanced analytics to improve forecasting, automate recurring work, identify trends or anomalies and strengthen management reporting. Facilitate post-completion reviews to compare actual cost, timing and benefits with approved business cases and incorporate lessons learned into future evaluations.

Work Experience

Minimum of two years of relevant experience in FP&A, financial analysis, capital planning, manufacturing finance, project finance, cost accounting or a related field. Demonstrated ability to build financial models, convert operational assumptions into investment cash flows and work with SAP, business intelligence or manufacturing data systems.

Education Requirements

B.A. or B.S. required Relevant course work in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Management, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Engineering or a related quantitative discipline required a plus.

Supervisory Responsibility

No direct supervisory responsibility; expected to lead analyses, coordinate cross-functional inputs and influence decisions through clear financial insight.

Essential Capabilities (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Attributes)

Strong understanding of corporate finance, capital budgeting, discounted cash flow analysis, financial statements, depreciation, working capital and investment decision criteria. Willingness to learn about our business, leaving your desk and spending time in a manufacturing environment Advanced Excel and financial-modeling capability, including structured assumptions, scenario analysis, audit checks and clear model documentation. Practical skill using generative AI, predictive analytics, anomaly detection, forecasting or automation techniques to improve FP&A workflows and capital-investment analysis. Ability to evaluate AI-generated outputs, identify limitations or unsupported conclusions and apply sound financial judgment before information is used in decisions. Clear written and verbal communication, including the ability to translate complex analysis into concise recommendations for project sponsors and senior leadership. Curiosity, critical thinking and a constructive challenge mindset, with the ability to test assumptions and explore alternative solutions. Ability to build effective working relationships across Finance, Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Accounting, Information Technology and leadership. Ability to work independently, prioritize competing demands, meet tight deadlines and maintain documentation suitable for management review or audit support.

Working Environment

The role operates in an office and manufacturing environment and may require periodic presence in production or project areas. The employee must follow all applicable site safety, confidentiality, data-handling and access requirements. Occasional travel to manufacturing locations may be required based on business needs.

Salary Pay Range

$62,500-$115,000 The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate's qualifications and prior experience. Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs) available the first of the month following 30 days of employment, 401(k) with match, life insurance, AD&D, short-term disability, vacation, holiday and sick time.
