About the Opportunity
A well-established and growing electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to work on a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial electrical projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive electrical estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects.
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and requirements.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, and equipment cost estimates.
- Solicit and analyze vendor and subcontractor pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers, field personnel, and leadership throughout the bidding process.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Participate in bid reviews, project handoffs, and pre-construction meetings.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3+ years of electrical estimating experience.
- Strong understanding of commercial and industrial electrical construction practices.
- Experience estimating projects valued up to $8 million.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
