We are seeking an analytically minded professional to join our Commercial Department as a Customer and Supplier Management Analyst. This is a Multifunctional, growth-oriented position that combines hands-on commercial operations with commercial data analysis.

You will administer supply and sales contracts, maintain parcels, deliveries and assay data, process fixations, and act as a point of contact for our suppliers and customers. This operational grounding is intentional it builds the process and product knowledge required to interpret our commercial data correctly. Building on it, you will analyze assay results, supplier performance, material profitability and price risk, improve data quality at the source, and translate your findings into actionable recommendations for our Commercial Buying team and site management.

The role is designed to grow with you: while the first months focus on learning our commercial operations, the analytical share of your work will increase progressively over a period of roughly 12 months, at a pace we define together and based on demonstrated capability.

Contract and Parcel Administration: Administer supply and sales contracts in SAP S/4HANA; maintain parcels, deliveries, weights, and assay data; ensure accurate and timely system records.

Supplier and Customer Support: Act as a point of contact for supplier and customer inquiries through our case management system; resolve issues relating to deliveries, documentation, settlements, and payments professionally and promptly.

Fixations and Price Risk: Process fixation requests, monitor fixed-undelivered and unfixed positions, and support the hedging process in coordination with Hedging and Controlling; report on unfixed exposure and final nomination date risk.

Assay and Material Analysis: Systematically compare declared versus actual assay results by supplier and material type; identify recurring deviation patterns, outliers, and their commercial impact.

Material Classification and Profitability: Standardize material type classification across the supplier base

Commercial Recommendations: Translate findings into concrete recommendations for the Commercial Buying team for example adjusted charges, revised contract terms, changed payable rates, or volume reallocation. Commercial decision authority remains with Raw Material Purchase.

Data Quality and Reporting: Act as data quality owner for commercial master and transactional data; prepare recurring and ad-hoc analyses for management, contract renewals, and negotiations; act as power user and feedback channel for our commercial reporting landscape.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Raw Material Purchase, Supply Chain Management, Sampling and Assaying, Accounting, Hedging, and Controlling to ensure seamless supplier and customer experiences.

Das Bringen Sie Mit

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field required.

At least 3 years of professional experience in commercial operations, supply chain, procurement, controlling, or a comparable analytical function.

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, handling of large data sets) required.

ERP experience required; SAP S/4HANA strongly preferred.

Ability to structure open-ended questions, work independently with large data sets, and present findings clearly to non-analytical audiences.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a professional and service-oriented demeanor.

Background in metals, recycling, commodities, or another physical trading environment is a strong plus.

Understanding of commodity pricing mechanisms (LME, payables, treatment and refining charges, hedging) is a plus.

Curious and self-driven asks why a number looks the way it does rather than only reporting it.

Structured, detail-oriented, and accurate, with the discipline to validate before recommending.

Comfortable moving between routine operational execution and open-ended analysis within the same week.

Persuasive communicator, able to obtain buy-in from commercial stakeholders and present to management.

Strong team player, collaborating effectively across functions and across the US and German organization.

Receptive to constructive feedback and committed to continuous improvement.

Embraces challenge and change, with a passion for metals and for turning data into better decisions.

Must be willing and physically able to observe and walk in a smelter environment.

Must be willing and physically able to work in varying cold and heat situations.

Could have times that are prolonged periods of walking, standing, and bending.

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Ability to travel throughout the facility as required to conduct audits and make observations.

Must wear all required PPE when in protected areas.

Required to reach and grasp with hands and reach with arms.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Willing and physically able to travel domestically and/or internationally if requested.
