Summary
The Operations Associate / Suite Operator is responsible for performing manufacturing and production activities in a regulated manufacturing environment. The role involves following SOPs, work instructions, and applicable drawings or documentation to safely operate machinery, handle materials, perform product inspections, complete production documentation, and support finished goods packaging. The operator is also responsible for maintaining quality, safety, cleanliness, and compliance throughout the production process while identifying equipment issues and contributing to process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Follow all applicable SOPs, work instructions, DHRs, and other written procedures; report discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor.
- Safely operate assigned manufacturing machinery and equipment.
- Set up and adjust machines to process different sizes and types of products using appropriate tools.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance and adjustments; promptly report equipment malfunctions.
- Accurately dispense required additives to media and perform pH balancing techniques as needed.
- Continuously monitor products for defects and ensure quality requirements are maintained.
- Accurately complete production records, paperwork, and required documentation in accordance with established procedures.
- Inspect and verify personal work for quality, accuracy, and compliance.
- Follow required PPE and job-specific safety requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and clutter-free work area and ensure assigned equipment is properly maintained.
- Immediately report spills, property damage, safety hazards, or other workplace concerns.
- Follow and communicate written and verbal instructions in English.
- Support production process improvements by identifying and communicating suggestions.
- Perform material handling, equipment operation, assembly, and finished goods packaging activities as required.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
- Aseptic manufacturing experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment preferred.
- Ability to safely lift products/materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic math skills and ability to perform routine calculations.
- Ability to follow written procedures and verbal instructions accurately.
- Ability to operate manufacturing equipment and perform basic machine adjustments.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality, safety, and compliance.
- Ability to maintain accurate and organized production documentation.
