About You and This Role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Technology Director! In this role, you will define and lead the strategy for advancing digital capabilities within Digital Operations work processes. You will identify and prioritize opportunities where intelligent automation can improve decision-making, strengthen operational performance, and create sustainable business value. You will guide responsible adoption in partnership with Operations, technology, data, cybersecurity, and business teams, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, reliability, governance, and the needs of Dow sites and businesses. You will also provide mentoring and coaching to people leaders and professional individual contributors and foster an inclusive, collaborative environment grounded in integrity, customer focus, continuous improvement, and empowerment.

This position can be located at any Dow location in North America, Latin America, or Europe.

Responsibilities

Implement Operations strategy for advancing digital capabilities and responsible use within work processes.

Own accountability for oversight and implementation of the strategy within Digital Operations.

Partner with site, production, functional, and business leaders to understand operational needs and identify high-value opportunities.

Translate business priorities into practical digital solutions that streamline processes, strengthen reliability, and deliver measurable value.

Collaborate with Operations, technology, data, cybersecurity, and business teams to develop scalable solutions and integrate them effectively into existing work processes.

Establish clear measures of success and monitor adoption, operational performance, and value realization.

Build organizational understanding of advanced digital capabilities and support teams.

Develop and implement technology strategies aligned to site, function, and business needs.

Drive continuous improvement of technology-based performance and strategic guidance to senior leadership on emerging digital capabilities, operational opportunities, and associated risks.

Oversee digital technology improvement efforts, working with site/production leadership.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E5 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.

A minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience.

For U.S. Applicants: A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong digital background & understanding of advanced digital portfolio within Manufacturing.

Budget Management: The ability to effectively manage technology and innovation budgets, prioritize investments, allocate resources, and deliver projects that achieve financial and operational objectives.

Continuous Improvement: The ability to identify opportunities for process, technology, and performance enhancements, driving efficiency, quality, and operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives.

Reliability: The ability to establish and maintain reliable technologies, systems, and processes by proactively identifying risks, improving performance, and ensuring long-term operational sustainability.

Technical Mentorship and Coaching: Ability to coach and mentor others on the application of specialized technical knowledge.

Decision-Making: Ability to make data-based decisions for safe and effective operations.

Collaboration: Ability to interact with a diverse group of people, including customers, technicians and other engineers. You must be able to communicate clearly both up to leadership and laterally to peers and be able to influence results and negotiate conflict.
