About the job:

A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

The Workers Compensation and Owner Controlled Insurance Policy (OCIP) Program Lead oversees the strategic governance, placement, and daily administration of owner-controlled insurance programs and occupational injury claims. This role drives end-to-end risk management by conducting exposure analyses, directing policy audits, and partnering closely with brokers and contractors to optimize coverage structures and ensure seamless program enrollment. In addition to program strategy, the lead directs full-lifecycle workers compensation claims management across employees, owners, and contractors. Acting as the primary liaison among injured workers, insurance carriers, legal counsel, and healthcare providers, the role coordinates quality medical care and facilitates prompt, modified-duty return-to-work transitions. Furthermore, the position ensures regulatory compliance and workplace safety by delivering supervisor training, maintaining comprehensive claims databases, and analyzing incident trends to implement proactive, data-driven injury prevention initiatives.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $159000 - $230000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end insurance placement and strategic risk mitigation across all operations.
  • Manage data processing for policy placement, oversee policy audits, analyze program structures, and direct enrollments with OCIP brokers and contractors.
  • Receive and process claims for owners, employees, and contractors, arrange medical care and facilitate return-to-work and modified-duty accommodations.
  • Serve as primary contact for injured workers, liaise with carriers, clinics, and legal counsel and maintain detailed incidents and financial records.
  • Deliver supervisors claim training, analyze incident trends to prevent recurring injuries, and ensure alignment with workers compensation regulations.
  • Evaluate risk exposures, design proactive risk control solutions, and build strategic vendor and insurer relationships.
