Benefits Coordinator

Ergon, Inc. currently has an opening for a Benefits Coordinator to join the Total Rewards Department at its corporate office in Flowood, MS. The Benefits Coordinator is a key member of the Benefits and Shared Services Support Team who will be an integral collaborative partner across the organization. This role will answer questions and assist with new hire/life event benefit enrollments (life, medical, dental, vision, disability, EAP, COBRA, and other related programs), support on-boarding & off-boarding, act as a liaison between employees, vendors, TPA's, brokers and support the Shared Services team. Benefits Coordinator Job Duties:Benefits Support - Act as the primary support point of contact for Benefit Tickets, answer employee and manager questions, and escalate to the Corporate Benefits Lead when necessary.Assist in resolving employee system access issues (bSwift, Vendor sites, etc.), assist employees with new hire/life event enrollments, and collect documentation needed and approve pending enrollments in bSwift where applicable.Guide employees to the self-service tools available and educate them on how to best use them.New Hire Support - Reach out to new hires who have not yet enrolled in benefits to assist with questions, advise where they can find additional information if needed for benefits or 401(k) auto enrollment/opt out (post 7/1/24) process. Remind them of the enrollment window and provide guidance on using bSwift, Data analytics, reporting, and knowledge of SAP is beneficial.Onboarding/Offboarding - assist HR/Payroll with onboarding of new hires/re-hires, complete benefits orientation, I-9 verification, and 401 (k) enrollment with employee if applicable.LOA/FMLA - Act as primary point of contact for basic questions related to sick leave or vacation balances, process clarification, and questions related to Policy, forms, etc. Escalate to Corporate Benefits Team as needed.Open Enrollment - Support Benefit Team and business units during annual open enrollment, travel may be required.Benefits Coordinator Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution preferred or equivalent years of experience required.Three or more years supporting Benefits or Human Resources is preferred.Understanding of Employer Benefit plans and how they are used by employees (PPO, HDHP, HSA, FSA, Life, Dental, Vision, 401(k), EAP), prior experience working with Benefit administration systems (bSwift, ADP module, etc.) preferred. Time management skills, ability to work both independently and as part of a team effectively, the ability to multitask, and problem solve are required.Word, Excel, and PowerPoint - Intermediate knowledgeMay require some travelInterested applicants should respond with a cover letter and resume.
