Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking an experienced Physician (MD/DO) for a locum tenens opportunity in Portland, Oregon, providing a hands-on mix of Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care.

This is a varied outpatient practice for a physician comfortable moving between work-related injury care, employer physicals and acute walk-in visits. You'll diagnose and treat occupational injuries, perform DOT and other employment-related examinations, manage urgent care patients, perform appropriate in-office procedures, and communicate directly with employers regarding patient care and medical guidance.

Clinical Scope

• Diagnose and treat workplace injuries and illnesses
• Manage initial and follow-up occupational injury visits
• Perform DOT physical examinations
• Conduct pre-placement examinations
• Perform public-safety and medical-surveillance physicals
• Evaluate and treat common walk-in urgent care presentations
• Perform appropriate outpatient procedures
• Provide patient education and follow-up
• Communicate with employers regarding occupational cases and medical guidance
• Complete timely and appropriate clinical documentation

Practice Environment

This opportunity combines occupational medicine, employer health and walk-in urgent care within an established outpatient setting.

Rather than a physicals-only occupational health assignment, physicians can expect clinical variety spanning injury management, acute outpatient care, employment examinations and employer-facing medicine.

What We're Looking For

• Physician MD or DO
• Active Oregon medical license
• Current clinical experience appropriate for an outpatient Occupational Medicine or Urgent Care setting
• Comfortable diagnosing and treating work-related injuries
• Comfortable evaluating walk-in acute-care patients
• Experience performing physical examinations and appropriate office procedures
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
• Comfortable communicating with employers regarding occupational cases

Experience in Occupational Medicine, Urgent Care, Employee Health, Worker's Compensation, Primary Care or a similar outpatient setting is especially relevant.
