Database Administrator

Position Overview
We are currently seeking a qualified Database Administrator to provide database application support, server management, and system maintenance. You will collaborate with IT project managers, agency staff, and external partners to gather requirements and ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Manage database servers, routine maintenance, and system updates.
Provide robust technical support and troubleshoot database/application issues.
Maintain, update, and support code written by other internal developers.
Collaborate across all levels of staff to define project requirements and specifications.
Required Qualifications
Progressively responsible experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
Strong expertise in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and T-SQL programming.
Proven ability in database administrative tasks and troubleshooting technical problems.
Skilled in maintaining and updating legacy or peer-developed code.
Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Development experience using .NET Standard 4.8+, Visual Basic, ASP.NET (VB/C#), HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, CSS, AJAX, and JSON.
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, DAX).
Background in hardware/software installation, server administration, and Full System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Prior experience working with Commonwealth of Virginia IT systems and VITA strongly preferred.
