Senior Policy And Technical Expert
Serves as the senior policy and technical expert, analyst and advisor for the Deputy Chief area of the USDA Forest Service national office.
Supports a broad national spectrum of organizational, managerial and technical issues related to program and budget direction, ensuring plans are compliant with federal law.
Provides leadership for all Deputy Area program and budget activities and interfaces with Washington Office staffs in other Deputy Areas in developing and executing budgets and programs.
Serves as senior advisor and consultant on state-of-the-art management techniques to provide improved USDA Forest Service information that can be used to improve business processes and planning.
Oversees development of training courses, conferences or any other appropriate learning methods.
Represents the Deputy Area at high level conferences and meetings with representatives from other government agencies as well as private industry, on matters related to strategic management, productivity and budget direction.
Plans, coordinates, develops guidance for, and leads comprehensive management analyses to improve overall planning and management control processes for the Deputy Area.
Provides technical and administrative supervision to employees in a variety of professional and non-professional occupations.
