Why Omni?
We are seeking a strong Mid Network/Systems Engineer to support the Air Force. Candidates must be passionate, energized, and excited to work on modern architectures and solve challenging problems for our clients.
Architecture & Strategy:
Support Zero-Trust Architecture assessments and gap analyses
Design and document solutions and implementation plans aligned around the ZTA Data Pillar
Development of Zero Trust compliance roadmap and track progress towards maturity objectives
Integrate Zero Trust principles into existing IL5/6 enterprise environments (cloud, hybrid, on-prem)
Maintain documentation for system architecture
Align Zero Trust implementation with NIST SP 80053, NIST SP 800207, and other applicable security standards
Integration:
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
Partner with and act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, security, networking, cloud, and infrastructure teams
Deliver clear technical documentation, briefings, and status updates
Work cross-functionally to ensure cohesive, enterprise-wide Zero Trust adoption
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, identity engineering, cloud security, or related fields
Strong understanding of Zero Trust principles and practical implementation approaches
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), their related identity systems and KeyCloak
Experience writing data tagging policy within an automated data tagging tool
Experience identifying sensitive information types and data classification
Proficiency with RBAC, TBAC, ABAC and policy-based access controls
Working knowledge of NIST and DoW Zero Trust Architecture guidance
Ability to design clear technical diagrams and architecture artifacts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical teams.
Demonstrated initiative in maturing security posture and reducing risk
