RF Design Engineer

Job Description:

• Design in-building wireless systems for DAS deployments
• Design passive and active DAS and small cell solutions to meet coverage and capacity requirements
• Coordinate with construction teams, vendors, technicians, deployment and integration teams, OEMs, carriers, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout project delivery
• Support proper system deployment
• Ensure work complies with regulatory requirements, carrier standards, and industry best practices
• Read and interpret architectural floor plans and construction drawings
• Produce clear, carrier-ready design documentation
• Use iBwave for DAS design work

Requirements:

• Experience using iBwave for DAS design work
• Experience designing in-building wireless systems including passive and active DAS and small cell solutions
• Prior experience working with T-Mobile on in-building wireless or DAS projects
• Experience coordinating with construction teams, vendors, and technicians
• Experience collaborating with deployment and integration teams, OEMs, carriers, project managers, and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, carrier standards, and industry best practices
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
• iBwave Level 3 Designer certification
• Experience reading and interpreting architectural floor plans and construction drawings
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Visio, Figma, and general design/documentation tools
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field preferred
• Experience with multi-carrier in-building systems for major operators preferred
• Experience in airports, stadiums, hospitals, and large commercial buildings preferred
• Familiarity with public safety systems, including ERRCS and FirstNet, and CBRS or private LTE networks preferred
• Knowledge of OSHA and site-specific safety guidelines preferred
