We are seeking a Business Intelligence & Analytics Developer to develop data, reporting, and automation solutions that improve decision-making and operational efficiency across a growing gas utility organization.
This position will partner with teams across Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Fleet, Finance, M&A, and Continuous Improvement to transform business needs into practical technical solutions. The role will focus on improving access to reliable information, reducing manual processes and spreadsheet dependency, connecting data across systems, and developing dashboards and automated workflows that support the business.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical capabilities with business acumen and can take a business problem from concept through development, implementation, and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, data solutions, and workflow automations.
Translate operational and financial data into accurate, actionable business insights.
Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, processes, reporting needs, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and maintain data integrations between business systems and reporting tools.
Build automated workflows that reduce manual processes and repetitive administrative work.
Improve existing spreadsheet-driven processes through more scalable and sustainable solutions.
Develop reporting and analytics supporting areas such as operations, procurement, supply chain, fleet, finance, and continuous improvement.
Monitor and improve data quality, accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Troubleshoot reporting, data integration, and automation issues.
Establish consistent calculations, business rules, and reporting logic.
Develop and maintain appropriate technical and process documentation.
Support testing, implementation, user acceptance, and ongoing enhancement of developed solutions.
Ensure solutions follow appropriate security, access, data governance, and documentation standards.
Identify opportunities to use data and automation to improve business processes, productivity, and decision-making.
Support prioritized Continuous Improvement initiatives from initial requirements through implementation and sustainment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience developing business intelligence, reporting, analytics, data integration, or automation solutions.
Strong experience translating business requirements into practical technical solutions.
Experience working with data from multiple systems and sources.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of data quality, validation, reconciliation, and governance principles.
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and take ownership of solutions from development through implementation.

Experience with several of the following is preferred:
Power BI
SQL
Power Query
DAX
Power Automate / Power Apps
Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure data services
Advanced Microsoft Excel
APIs and system integrations
ETL/ELT and data transformation
Microsoft 365 / SharePoint
Python or similar scripting tools
ERP, procurement, fleet, financial, or operational systems
Candidates are not expected to have experience with every technology listed. Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to learn new systems are equally important.
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience supporting analytics, reporting, automation, or continuous improvement within natural gas utilities, utility construction, infrastructure, energy, field services, construction, or another operationally intensive environment is preferred.
