We have an excellent opportunity available now as a Client Account Manager!

Huntington-Hill Imaging Center (California Medical Business Services is dedicated to improving medical practices through the use of innovative technologies, strategic partnerships, and years of industry experience. Our efforts are directed toward providing quality patient care in the Radiology field. Our team consists of Board Certified Radiologists, Medical Administrators, Technologists, Billing and Scheduling staff, and Patient Support staff.


This full-time Client Account Manager position will have a 40 hour/week, and is located at our business office in Arcadia, CA. This position offers a hybrid schedule. Occasional weekend work may be required for special projects

Pay Range: $72,000-$85,000/year

FLSA Status: Exempt

In this vital role you will serve as the primary operational liaison between CMBS and assigned clients. This position is responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, monitoring revenue cycle performance, identifying and resolving operational issues, coordinating internal follow-up, and ensuring clients receive timely, accurate, and professional support.

The Client Account Manager is expected to understand each assigned client's business, financial performance, workflows, payer mix, and operational priorities in order to proactively identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with physicians, administrators, office managers, and other client representatives.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled client meetings to review financial performance, operational concerns, outstanding issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare for client meetings by reviewing relevant reports, trends, denials, A/R, collections, charge activity, payer issues, and other key performance indicators.
  • Provide clear explanations of revenue cycle performance and identify significant trends, risks, and areas requiring attention.
  • Maintain current knowledge of each client's locations, providers, services, billing workflows, payer participation, and operational structure.
  • Coordinate client requests and ensure appropriate follow-up by internal CMBS departments.
  • Track outstanding client issues through resolution and provide timely status updates.
  • Escalate significant financial, operational, compliance, payer, or service concerns to the Revenue Cycle Director or other appropriate leadership.
  • Identify barriers affecting clean claim submission, payment, reimbursement, or client satisfaction and collaborate with internal teams to develop solutions.
  • Monitor client A/R performance, aging, denials, payment trends, charge lag, bad debt, and other key revenue cycle indicators.
  • Review significant payer issues, underpayments, denials, authorization trends, or reimbursement concerns and coordinate resolution with the appropriate department.
  • Collaborate with Billing, Coding, Credentialing, Payer Engagement, Data Entry, Payment Posting, Applications, and other departments to address client needs.
  • Communicate changes in client operations, provider schedules, practice locations, contracts, services, or workflows to the appropriate internal departments.
  • Ensure client-specific billing instructions, exceptions, and operational requirements are clearly documented and communicated.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients, providers, locations, or services as needed.
  • Participate in implementation meetings and support successful transition of new business into CMBS operations.
  • Monitor client deliverables and ensure agreed-upon follow-up items are completed timely.
  • Respond to client inquiries in a timely, professional, and accurate manner.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client service, collections, workflow efficiency, and overall revenue cycle performance.
  • Support retention efforts by proactively addressing concerns and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client meetings, action items, and significant communications.
  • Assist with special projects, audits, reporting requests, and operational initiatives as needed.
  • Facilitate resolution of client concerns and internal conflicts professionally and objectively.
  • Maintain a professional, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach in all client and internal interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of healthcare revenue cycle, medical billing, client services, or practice-management experience.
  • Prior account management or client-facing experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with physician practices, imaging centers, hospitals, or other healthcare organizations preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of healthcare billing and reimbursement processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use billing, reporting, and practice-management systems.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Advanced understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations, including billing, collections, denials, A/R, payment posting, coding, credentialing, and payer processes.
  • Ability to interpret revenue cycle reports, identify trends, and explain financial performance clearly to clients.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong client-service and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, executives, administrators, managers, and operational staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead productive client meetings and communicate complex revenue cycle issues in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, deadlines, and follow-up items simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to coordinate work across multiple internal departments and ensure accountability for follow-up.

  • Strong conflict-resolution skills, including the ability to facilitate resolution between clients and internal departments when appropriate.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and appropriately escalate significant concerns.

What Your Work Environment Will Be Like:

Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with minimal public contact and frequent interruptions. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer, including repetitive hand and wrist movements associated with keyboarding and operating standard office equipment. The employee must be able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic communication.

The position may require occasional standing, lifting, and carrying of items of moderate weight. Must have the ability to see and hear within normal ranges, with or without reasonable accommodation, and to view computer screens for extended periods.
