Job Title: Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk
Location: Pasadena, TX 77503 (Southeast Houston)
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Job type: Temp-Perm after 90 days
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
We are seeking a Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Clerk and play a vital role in our warehousing operations. You will be responsible for preparing loads for shipments, loading and unloading carriers, validating shipment counts, and closely coordinating with our Purchasing department—all while adhering to company policies and quality standards.
What You’ll Be Doing—Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, courteous service to employees, suppliers, and carriers.
- Open and close the warehouse facility, properly securing the building as required.
- Handle shipments including loading/unloading trucks and trailers, and preparing loads for shipment in advance.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Follow all company safety and security procedures, including acting as a spotter for forklift drivers.
- Maintain equipment and parts inventory; notify management of new arrivals and stage equipment for shipping.
- Keep the warehouse clean and organized, including sweeping floors and managing trash.
- Effectively communicate any high-level issues to management.
- Support best practices and process improvements.
- Participate in interdepartmental projects and perform related tasks as required.
What You Need :
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience:
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in a warehouse or parts department preferred; equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Proficient computer skills (MS Outlook, Word, Excel) preferred.
- Previous experience operating warehouse equipment a plus.
