IT Software Engineer

Job Description:

• Make technical decisions based on end-to-end impact, historical data, and prior experience
• Own the development and design process for assigned systems or components
• Lead feature development efforts with minimal senior-engineering oversight
• Drive technical design, implementation, and reliability of CX orchestration platforms centered on AWS, Genesys Cloud, and Salesforce Service Cloud
• Collaborate with product, QA, design, and engineering teams on technical solutions and delivery timelines
• Participate in code reviews
• Create and maintain technical documentation
• Troubleshoot and resolve moderately complex technical issues
• Provide basic mentorship and guidance to junior engineers
• Support larger team initiatives while independently leading smaller project components
• Communicate progress, blockers, and risks to team leads

Requirements:

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience
• At least 2 years focused on high-scale Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS), CX enterprise software, or Field Services enterprise software
• Experience with AWS Services and CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native or CCaaS application deployments
• Experience designing and building reliable workflows and integrations in Salesforce
• Advanced programming proficiency across multiple languages and frameworks
• Solid understanding of system design and architecture principles
• Demonstrated experience taking features from design through implementation and deployment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
• Ability to handle complex assignments with moderate autonomy and periodic review
• Effective collaboration within immediate team structures
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, particularly for documentation and cross-team coordination
• May require a background check due to routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer proprietary data
