Logistics Coordinator
We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to provide end-to-end logistics operations support for inbound and outbound material movement, finished-product delivery, and all associated operational workload across a global supplier base. In this role, you will work from a 24/7 operations center managing international and domestic shipments, customs and brokerage coordination, exception management, and shipment documentation. This is a shift-based position requiring flexibility to work rotating shifts, with cross-training to ensure seamless coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor defined transportation, shipping/receiving, warehousing, and inventory activities to ensure they follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Perform logistics processes involving booking, tracking, tracing, import/export commercial invoices, packing lists, and related functions.
- Accurately track freight forwarding data and milestone activity within service provider platforms.
- Document metrics and data related to just-in-time and next-flight-out shipments in a global logistics environment.
- Identify transportation exceptions and follow defined escalation/notification processes to support business teams.
- Gather information to effectively communicate cargo status during critical transportation events.
- Perform work on site daily in a rotational shift configuration which may include day, evening, night, weekend, and holidays.
- Conduct audit processes to ensure data accuracy in all program dashboards and metrics.
- Represent the Logistics team with internal and external partners and establish proactive communication to inform stakeholders of shipment status.
- Partner with logistics teams while providing excellent customer service.
- Respond to telephone, e-mail, and automated requests and follow up on open items.
- Review SOPs and transportation maps to identify any anomalies or deviations from defined processes.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, or transportation operations.
Skills
- Flexibility and willingness to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operations center, including overnight, weekend, and holiday coverage.
- Working knowledge of international shipping processes, including customs documentation, Incoterms, and brokerage coordination.
- Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), or equivalent logistics platforms.
- Strong attention to detail with experience maintaining tracking sheets, documentation, and shipment records.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with suppliers, carriers, brokers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and geographical/transportation maps.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with customs brokerage, import/export compliance, or licensed customs broker (LCB) credentials.
- Background in manufacturing or hardware logistics environments.
- Experience managing third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and carrier performance.
- Experience with data analysis, dashboard creation, or Jira-based project tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to manage special projects or process improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in Mandarin or other languages relevant to international supplier communication is a plus.
