Job Description:

· The Quality Control Officer / Site Safety & Health Officer (QC/SSHO) is responsible for ensuring that all construction activities comply with contract requirements, applicable codes, project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

· This position oversees project quality control processes and implements the site safety program to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved plans and procedures.

· Responsibilities commonly include administration of the Quality Control Plan, Accident Prevention Plan (APP), inspections, documentation, corrective actions, and regulatory compliance.

· This person will be able to receive mileage reimbursement for the role as they will travel between the 2 Client locations.

· Some days they might be at one location 2-3 days and the rest of the week the other location.

· Some weeks they will be at one location the whole week etc.
Important to have OSHA certification or OSHA/ Safety Trainings.

· This person will be responsible for the safety checks of Client at the client site!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Quality Control

· Implement and maintain the project Quality Control Plan.

· Conduct Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections for all Definable Features of Work (DFOW).

· Verify that materials, equipment, and workmanship conform to contract requirements and specifications.

· Maintain quality control documentation, inspection reports, deficiency logs, testing records, and as-built documentation.

· Identify and track non-conforming work and ensure corrective actions are completed.

· Coordinate quality inspections and testing activities with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.

· Prepare daily QC reports and provide status updates to project management.

Safety & Health:

· Implement and enforce the project Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Site Safety & Health Plan.

· Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and audits.

· Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.

· Develop and review Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) for project activities.

· Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries, and implement corrective actions.

· Ensure compliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, site-specific requirements, and company safety policies.

· Monitor subcontractor safety performance and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

· Stop work when unsafe conditions or practices are identified and coordinate corrective actions.
