Industrial Sewer / Sewing Machine Operator

We’re Hiring Experienced Industrial Sewers!

Are you experienced with industrial sewing machines, sergers, or overlock machines? We are looking for a skilled and dependable Industrial Sewer to join our manufacturing team. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys working with their hands.

What You’ll Do

• Operate industrial sewing machines, sergers, and overlock machines
• Set up, test, and adjust machines at the beginning of each shift
• Read and follow work orders, specifications, and production instructions
• Gather materials and prepare parts before beginning production
• Sew, repair, and attach materials according to specifications
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
• Trim excess fabric, material, and threads
• Identify and correct defects when possible and notify supervisors of quality concerns
• Clean, oil, and perform basic preventative maintenance on sewing equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Complete other production duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• Previous industrial sewing experience required
• Experience operating industrial sewing machines and sergers/overlocks
• Manufacturing or production sewing experience preferred
• Ability to successfully complete a practical sewing test
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Ability to follow work orders and production instructions
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to frequently use hands and fingers for detailed sewing work
• Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, and reach
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
