This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with numbers, and knowledgeable about commercial HVAC construction.What You'll Be Responsible ForAnalyze mechanical drawings, construction documents, and project specificationsPerform detailed HVAC equipment and material takeoffsDetermine labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor requirementsDevelop complete commercial HVAC estimatesRequest pricing from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractorsCompare quotes and identify pricing discrepanciesMonitor addenda and adjust estimates when project requirements changeIdentify scope gaps and potential bid risksAssemble accurate and competitive bid packagesOrganize estimating files and supporting documentationCoordinate with sales and project management throughout the bidding processAssist with turnover when awarded projects move into productionExperience We're Looking ForCommercial HVAC estimating, mechanical construction, or comparable industry experienceExperience reading mechanical plans and construction specificationsAbility to perform accurate material and equipment takeoffsKnowledge of commercial HVAC equipment and systemsStrong mathematical and analytical skillsHigh level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to prioritize multiple bids with competing deadlinesComfortable using computers and learning estimating platformsValid driver's license with an insurable driving recordAbility to work in-office dailyWe value practical commercial HVAC knowledge and estimating ability over specific certifications.Why Crystal Heating and CoolingSince 1965, Crystal Heating and Cooling has built a strong presence throughout the Greater St. Louis region.
