Position Summary
We're seeking an IT Consultant 1 to advise enterprise clients on leveraging IT processes, systems, and techniques to solve complex business problems and achieve strategic organizational objectives. Working within an IT Department, the ITC1 analyzes, solves, and optimizes systems to ensure seamless operational efficiency - bridging client business needs and technical solutions through objective evaluation of technology trends, cost-benefit trade-offs, and implementation risks.

What You'll Do

Client Advisory & Requirements Definition

• Define comprehensive technical requirements and recommend tailored IT solutions
• Identify and qualify ways to incorporate modern technology with standard industry practices
• Serve as an expert advisor on industry alternatives, presenting data-driven advantage/disadvantage analysis for business procedures

Technical Strategy, Risk & Cost Analysis

• Study technical trends and apply intelligence to upgrade and modernize client systems
• Advise clients on solution options, implementation risks, cost-benefit analysis, priorities, and cross-system impacts
• Consult with program and project management teams to architect solutions aligned with client strategic goals
• Evaluate legacy and modern system architectures, cloud/on-prem integration points, and enterprise workflows
• Translate complex business processes into actionable technical solutions, gap analyses, and feasibility studies

Strategic Advisory & Solution Framework

• Define functional/non-functional requirements with client leads; map business goals to industry practices
• Evaluate emerging technical trends and determine feasibility/impact of system upgrades
• Synthesize technology alternatives, outlining risks, operational perils, and technical trade-offs

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in an IT Department or IT consulting firm
• Demonstrated broad exposure across enterprise technology areas (infrastructure, software, security, data)
• Proven ability to engage client stakeholders, define requirements, and deliver technical option appraisals
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical risks and financial costs to non-technical leaders
• 4-year college degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field (preferred)

Highly Desired

• Direct experience in external management or IT consulting engagements across multi-disciplinary client environments
• Hands-on experience supporting IT security audits, governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks
• Exposure to large-scale public sector, regulated enterprise systems, or organizational digital transformation projects
