Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to support an Engagement Technology team and translate business needs into well-defined, AI-enabled delivery outcomes.

The Technical Product Owner will work at the intersection of Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Agile Delivery, AI-DLC coaching, governance coordination, and blocker resolution.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and translating ambiguous business requirements into clear epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, delivery plans, and actionable recommendations.

This is a Full-Time Remote opportunity with an initial 6-month engagement and the potential to convert to a C2H position after 6 months, based on business requirements and performance.

Key Responsibilities Product Ownership & Backlog Management

  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather, clarify, document, and prioritize requirements.

  • Define use cases, user journeys, decision flows, acceptance criteria, and business outcomes.

  • Manage product backlogs, feature priorities, dependencies, sprint readiness, and release scope.

  • Translate ambiguous business needs into actionable epics, features, user stories, and implementation-ready requirements.

  • Coordinate with engineering, QA, business analysts, vendors, governance teams, and stakeholders.

  • Track milestones, deliverables, risks, issues, actions, assumptions, decisions, and blockers.

  • Maintain product roadmaps, delivery plans, schedules, status reports, and decision logs.

  • Ensure blockers are clearly identified, assigned, escalated, and resolved.

AI-DLC, Governance & Compliance

  • Coach delivery teams on AI-DLC practices, required artifacts, stage gates, and delivery expectations.

  • Support responsible AI practices throughout the delivery lifecycle.

  • Coordinate governance reviews, approvals, risk documentation, evidence collection, and stakeholder inputs.

  • Use AI tools to accelerate requirements discovery, documentation, meeting summaries, backlog analysis, and traceability.

  • Ensure alignment between business objectives, technical solutions, governance requirements, delivery milestones, and operational readiness.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

  • Act as a bridge between business, technology, governance, and operations teams.

  • Facilitate stakeholder discussions and decision-making.

  • Communicate scope, priorities, dependencies, risks, trade-offs, and delivery status.

  • Create stakeholder communications, training materials, rollout plans, and adoption support.

  • Present clear options, recommendations, and next steps to stakeholders and leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Delivery Lead, or similar role.

  • Strong experience gathering, documenting, validating, and managing:

    • Business requirements

    • User stories

    • Use cases

    • Acceptance criteria

    • Process flows

    • Decision documentation

  • Experience using AI tools for requirements management, backlog analysis, meeting synthesis, documentation generation, stakeholder communication, and delivery planning.

  • Strong experience with Agile/Scrum delivery, including:

    • Backlog refinement

    • Sprint planning

    • Prioritization

    • Dependency management

    • Release coordination

  • Ability to translate complex business, technical, operational, and governance requirements into clear work items for engineering teams.

  • Strong blocker management, risk management, issue resolution, facilitation, and decision-making skills.

  • Experience coordinating governance reviews, compliance inputs, approval workflows, documentation requests, and stakeholder follow-ups.

  • Familiarity with AI delivery lifecycle practices, Responsible AI concepts, model/agent governance, risk documentation, and enterprise approval processes.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Experience working with technical teams, business stakeholders, governance groups, vendors, and leadership.

  • Proficiency with tools such as:

    • Jira

    • Rally

    • Azure DevOps

    • Smartsheet

    • Aha!

    • Microsoft Teams

    • Microsoft Office

    • Microsoft Copilot

    • Other collaboration and delivery management platforms

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product Owner, Scrum Master, Business Analysis, Agile, SAFe, or comparable certification.

  • Experience coaching teams through AI-DLC, Responsible AI, governance, compliance, risk, privacy, legal, or security review processes.

  • Experience supporting AI, automation, data, analytics, marketing technology, customer engagement, or digital transformation programs.

  • Experience creating templates, playbooks, dashboards, or repeatable delivery practices.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced and ambiguous environments with evolving requirements and competing priorities.

  • Familiarity with document composition, print and digital communications ecosystems, migration programs, EngageOne, Quadient, or similar enterprise technology platforms.
