Title: Software Engineer
Type: Contract
Location: Chillicothe, IL
Experience: 5+ years
Software Engineer to develop scalable, reusable C++ backend infrastructure components supporting autonomous mining operations and MineStar systems.
The role covers backend development, embedded deployment, cross-compilation, automation testing, and integration with Caterpillar platform applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop reusable C++ backend components and integrate them with Fleet and MineStar applications.
- Cross-compile and deploy software to embedded hardware targets while supporting platform migration and infrastructure enhancements.
- Develop unit tests and Python/CATS automation scripts, with occasional Angular/TypeScript support for Fleet UI issues.
