The Program Specialist is the key position in the coordination of care for the individuals within the CLHS services. The Program Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the JEVS Core principles are integrated in the supports/services chosen by the individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination in securing supports and services for the individual including: medical, therapists, financial resources, behavioral, daytime engagement activities, employment, communication, skill acquisition, socialization, recreation, etc.
- Coordinate specialized training of staff, specific to the individual’s ISP program plans.
- Participate in behavioral therapy process and assure completion of ninety day medication review as appropriate. Assure implementation of behavior plans and track data collection.
- Participate in problem solving of issues and maintain open communication with the Program Director regarding all programming issues.
- Assess the individual’s current level of functioning in relationship to an individual’s outcomes and the individual’s social and environmental supports and adapt program plan as needed.
- Maintain regular contact with the people involved in supporting the individual. This may include the supports coordinator, friends, family, neighbors, medical personnel, day programs and consultants.
- Acts as team lead in conjunction with assigned supports coordinators for each individual on caseload.
Skills & Other Requirements: |
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college and 2 years of experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, or an associate’s degree from an accredited college and 4 years of experience working with people with intellectual disabilities is required.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft software. Must be able to work a flexible schedule; including some evenings and weekends.

The base pay for this position ranges from is $43,000 to $45,000. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
