Tour Program Specialist
Our Tour Program Specialist is an ambassador of Tesla and our mission, educating audiences about our history, safety, manufacturing processes, industry, and revolutionary products. We're looking for a bright, energetic, and professional team player to represent Tesla in the highest regard. You'll design and deliver immersive, safety-compliant tour programs for new and existing factories, ensuring every visitor from family and friends to students, leaves with a deeper understanding of Tesla's mission to build a world of amazing abundance.
Responsibilities
- Craft clear, engaging, and technically accurate tour scripts with exceptional storytelling ability, translating complex manufacturing innovations into compelling narratives for diverse audiences by collaborating with Subject Matter Experts and cross-functional teams, ensuring content reflects real-time innovations and Tesla's brand voice
- Design safe, compliant, and efficient tour routes across manufacturing sites in partnership with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) teams, integrating hazard mitigation, PPE requirements, emergency protocols, and ADA accessibility
- Develop dynamic displays and interactive exhibits that simplify complex processes into intuitive, visually compelling experiences
- Lead tour program development for new factory openings, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver on-brand and ready-to-launch experiences
- Optimize the visitor journey through feedback-driven iteration, using survey insights and performance data to refine scripts, paths, and displays, and introduce innovative engagement formats
- Deliver Friends and Family and Business Support tours across all Gigafactory Nevada factories that educate visitors on Tesla products, mission, and manufacturing processes through authentic engagement and relationship-building
- Plan and coordinate Friends and Family and Business Support tours while managing all logistics such as check-in, safety briefings, and accessibility accommodations, etc.
Requirements
- Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills and can speak in front of large groups
- 3+ years of experience in tour development, visitor experience, exhibit design, or program coordination in industrial, tech, or manufacturing environments
- Ability to walk and stand for 8+ hours
- Significant work experience in customer service preferred
- Comfortable driving a passenger van in/around a factory environment while simultaneously articulating unique production processes
- Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and organizational skills with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments
