Job description

Client Manager Healthcare

Help shape the future of healthcare.

What if your next role gave you the opportunity to do more than manage projects? What if you could build trusted client relationships, influence the direction of healthcare projects, and help create environments that make a meaningful difference in people's lives?

At HEAPY, we believe great work starts with a Colleague First culture. We give talented people the flexibility, support, and opportunities they need to do their best work, grow their careers, and make an impact. We are seeking a Client Manager to join our growing Healthcare Practice in Cincinnati, OH. This is an opportunity for an experienced AEC professional who enjoys being at the intersection of clients, projects, strategy, and people and wants to play a bigger role in building lasting partnerships. At HEAPY, you're more than a title. You're part of a team that values your ideas, invests in your development, and gives you the opportunity to shape both the work we do and where your career goes.

What You'll Do

As a Client Manager, you'll lead projects and relationships for new and growing clients, helping create an exceptional experience from the first conversation through project closeout. You'll serve as a trusted partner to clients while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across design engineering, commissioning, energy optimization, sustainability, ICT, and other specialized services. Your impact will include:

  • Build relationships: Establish credibility and trust with new clients while strengthening relationships with existing clients and identifying opportunities to expand our partnership.
  • Lead projects: Manage the full project lifecycle, from proposal and scope development through delivery and closeout.
  • Drive project success: Balance client expectations, quality, schedule, budget, resources, cash flow, and risk to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Shape the client experience: Communicate proactively, understand what matters most to the client, and bring the right HEAPY expertise to the table.
  • Collaborate across disciplines: Bring together teams and practices to deliver integrated solutions for complex healthcare environments.
  • Grow the business: Help expand HEAPY's network through relationship building, business development, proposals, and follow-on opportunities.
  • Influence strategy: Identify client needs and emerging opportunities and help shape solutions that align with both client goals and HEAPY's capabilities.
  • Develop your career: Pursue a path aligned with your strengths and interests, with opportunities to grow toward greater project leadership, client management, or sales/business development responsibilities.

The Scope of the Role

Client Managers take ownership of medium- to large-scale projects typically ranging from $500,000 to $750,000 in fees, often involving multiple HEAPY Practices or Service Sectors. This role carries an increased focus on client leadership and business development, giving you the opportunity to move beyond project execution and become a key contributor to the growth of our Healthcare Practice. Whether your strengths are in technical leadership, project delivery, client relationships, or business development, HEAPY provides opportunities to build on those strengths while expanding your impact.

Why HEAPY?

We believe the best work happens when people have the opportunity to be themselves, build meaningful relationships, and do work they're proud of. At HEAPY, you'll find:

  • A Colleague First culture where people come before process
  • Opportunities to work on complex, meaningful healthcare projects
  • A collaborative, multidisciplinary environment
  • Flexibility and support for how you work best
  • Professional development and opportunities to grow your career
  • The opportunity to build relationships with clients and influence the future of our business
  • A team committed to creating healthier, more sustainable, and resilient communities

If you're ready to take your career beyond project delivery and play a larger role in shaping client relationships, healthcare environments, and the future of HEAPY, we'd love to hear from you.
