Job description

Associate Community Manager

We're looking for an energetic, highly organized Associate Community Manager to help bring our community strategy to life across events, ambassador programming, and community activations.

This person will be a key day-to-day partner to the Associate Director of Community + Special Events, helping turn ideas into thoughtful, strategic experiences that deepen relationships with our community. The ideal candidate is equally comfortable coordinating the details behind the scenes and representing the brand on the ground IRL.

You'll help manage community touchpoints ranging from run days and walk clubs to ambassador programming, special events, and other grassroots activations across the US and beyond.

Community Programming

  • Support the planning and execution of a strategic community programming calendar, including run days, walk clubs, ambassador activations, special events, and other community experiences.
  • Own the community programming budget, including planning, forecasting, allocation, vendor management, and tracking spend against program goals.
  • Coordinate event logistics, vendors, supplies, timelines, and staffing support plans across Marketing/Retail/Social, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams to ensure broader brand priorities, product launches, campaigns, and cultural moments are thoughtfully integrated into community programming in an authentic way.
  • Be hands-on at events and activations, ensuring every detail of the experience feels intentional, elevated, and on-brand.
  • Analyze participation, engagement, attendance, and other program performance data to understand what is working, where there are opportunities for growth, and how we should strategically evolve our programming.
  • Identify opportunities to expand the reach and impact of community programming, using data, audience insights, and emerging trends to inform where and how we invest.
  • Continuously challenge the community strategy to make programming more engaging, inclusive, relevant, and impactful.

Ambassador Program

  • Help build and evolve a robust, scalable ambassador program that strengthens relationships with key community leaders and creates meaningful brand advocacy.
  • Support the day-to-day management of the ambassador community, including communications, activations, gifting, events, and ongoing engagement.
  • Help develop and execute ambassador recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Cultivate strong, authentic relationships with ambassadors and serve as a trusted point of contact and extension of the brand.
  • Track and analyze ambassador participation, engagement, performance, and program deliverables to understand impact and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Use program insights and community data to continuously refine the ambassador experience and strengthen the overall program strategy.
  • Identify emerging community leaders, creators, and advocates who can help expand our reach and deepen our connection within priority communities.
  • Partner with Social, Product, Marketing, and other cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for ambassadors to authentically support larger brand initiatives, product moments, storytelling, and launches.

Role Qualifications

  • 24 years of experience in community, events, experiential marketing, partnerships, hospitality, fitness/wellness, or a related field
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Naturally outgoing, warm, and relationship-oriented
  • Comfortable interacting with a wide range of people and building authentic relationships
  • Able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for community events
  • A genuine interest in movement, wellness, culture, and building community

Success in This Role Looks Like

  • Community programming runs smoothly, consistently, and thoughtfully
  • Ambassadors feel connected, supported, and engaged
  • Events feel authentic to the brand rather than simply promotional
  • Community members increasingly recognize the brand as a place they belong
  • The Associate Director has a strong operational partner who can take an idea and independently move it toward execution

This role is based in Los Angeles, CA.

The wage range for this role is $75,000 - $80,000. Wages are based on several factors including but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, etc
