Coordinator, Congenital Heart Program
A Brief Overview The ACHD Coordinator is responsible for supporting the administrative aspects of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program. This individual will interact with patients and families, physicians, residents, nurses and other hospital and administrative staff on a regular basis to support the program. Responsible to triage all incoming calls to the ACHD program. Provides administrative support to the Director of the ACHD program and department. Coordinates ACHD outreach programs. Coordinates and maintains appropriate records for the ACHD program. Oversees the revenue cycle process. Schedules and coordinates appointments and testing for patients. Coordinates monthly meetings. Responsible for data organization, feedback collection and analysis to assist the director in developing benchmarking strategies. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
Education High School Equivalent / GED (Required) and Some college course work (Preferred) Work Experience Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Applications (Required) and Database experience (Preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities High attention to detail and organization skills (Required proficiency) Excellent oral and written communication skills (Required proficiency) Must possess the maturity and ability to interact with all levels of administrative and clinical staff.
