Job Summary
The Rotator assists with the safe rotation, positioning, and alignment of structural steel, signage components, and related materials during fabrication and installation. This role works closely with installation crews, supervisors, and equipment operators to ensure materials are handled safely and placed according to project specifications.
Responsibilities
Assist with rotating, positioning, and aligning structural steel, signage components, and other materials during fabrication and installation.
Prepare materials and equipment for installation activities.
Operate or assist with mechanical rotation equipment under supervision.
Secure, lift, move, and handle heavy materials safely in coordination with crew members.
Ensure materials are positioned and aligned according to project specifications and job instructions.
Coordinate with supervisors, equipment operators, and installation crews to complete tasks efficiently.
Perform basic equipment inspections and report any issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow all applicable OSHA safety standards, company procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
Assist with general labor and other job-related duties as needed to keep projects on schedule.
Work safely in indoor and outdoor environments and perform physically demanding tasks as required.
Required Qualifications
Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and equipment used in structural steel or signage installation.
Ability to read and interpret simple diagrams, measurements, and job instructions.
Ability to handle materials safely, including lifting, securing, moving, rotating, and positioning heavy components with other crew members.
Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with supervisors, equipment operators, and installation crews.
Commitment to workplace safety, including following OSHA and company safety standards and using required PPE.
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing for extended periods, climbing, and lifting materials in varying outdoor conditions.
Reliable transportation to the Montclair, CA worksite.
Ability to work full-time on-site, including occasional overtime as project needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in construction, structural steel, signage installation, or a related trade.
Training
On-the-job training may be provided to candidates without previous industry experience.
