Engineering Tech – CNC Operator9Wood is a leading North American manufacturer of custom wood ceilings. This position is a strong fit for someone who enjoys hands-on manufacturing work, solving problems in real time, and helping production teams keep things moving. Acoustical subcontractors also need clear pricing, installation, and technical guidance. It is about being a reliable, safety-minded team member who helps production run smoothly and supports ongoing process improvements on the shop floor. In practice, this means you will:Serve as the primary point of contact for production staff "stop-and-ask" questions - resolve what you can and escalate more complex issues to the Manufacturing Engineer.Operate Production CNCSupport continuous improvement activities using Toyota Kata methodology.Collect and document accurate cycle times, rates, and process data across all machinery and production areas.Work closely with shop floor operators and office teams to help resolve problems and implement solutions.Support other engineering and manufacturing projects as needed.Physical Requirements This is a production-floor-based role. You must be able to stand and walk for the majority of 10 hour shifts and safely lift up to 50 lbs.Skills and attributes that will help you thrive • High school diploma or equivalent • Strong interpersonal and communication skills - you enjoy helping others and interacting with people at all levels • Comfort working on a busy manufacturing production floor • Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded • Experience with CNC machines (Biesse RoverGo) • Basic CAD experience (Inventor or AutoCAD) is helpful but not required • Previous exposure to Lean or continuous improvement is a plusHow to applyPlease apply through this posting.
