Job Description:
- Manage the assigned territory and achieve monthly and annual sales targets
- Support OEM customers, installers, integrators, design houses, cable assemblers, and authorized channel partners with LAPP product solutions
- Manage customer pipelines and plan daily, weekly, and monthly sales calls using CRM, Time and Territory Management, and mobility app tools
- Manage channel support for OEM opportunities and project business
- Provide technical support for customer design requirements
- Utilize Inside Sales, Product Management, and Marketing resources to grow territory opportunities
- Coordinate order processing and ensure customer delivery requirements are met
- Coordinate joint end-user sales calls with territory counterparts
- Connect with OEM representatives, gather account data, present LAPP solutions for power and data transmission needs, and obtain test and trial proposals
- Work with LAPP technical staff and customer engineers to facilitate designs incorporating LAPP products into drawings and bills of materials
- Develop relationships with installation subcontractors and OEM purchasing departments to secure product and solution contracts
- Follow up with installation teams to ensure they understand installation requirements and receive cables, glands, and connectors as requested
- Troubleshoot service gaps during installation
- Follow up with OEM engineers, purchasing teams, and installers after projects to assess satisfaction and obtain references
- Maintain customer relationships for repeat orders and new installations
- Travel frequently throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university
- Five years of meaningful, related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated working experience selling Cable Assemblies/Harnessing, Industrial Data cables and/or connector products and their application
- Proven track record of successful business development
- Demonstrated experience selling Industrial Data cables and/or EPIC connector products and a technical understanding of their applications
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
- Skilled verbal and written communication
- Proven technical experience and background
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of Lotus Notes and internet software
- Frequent travel by car or air, including overnight trips; approximately 3–4 days of travel per week
- Valid driver’s license and passport expected to be maintained
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts, financial ratios, and business equations
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
