Job description
Position SummaryClient Arizona plant is seeking a Technical Writer to improve existing and develop new technical documentation for use by manufacturing and engineering teams. This role requires collaboration with subject matter experts, engineers, and operations staff to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry standards.Key Responsibilities
- Develop documentation including work instructions, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and job aids.
- Collaborate with SMEs to gather information and validate accuracy.
- Research technical information from multiple sources to create comprehensive documentation.
- Edit and proofread for clarity, consistency, and adherence to company style guidelines.
- Manage documentation projects including planning, scheduling, and tracking progress to meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communication, Technical Writing, Engineering, or Science (preferred).
- Associate’s degree or HS Diploma/GED with significant technical writing experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of technical writing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Ability to understand technical processes being documented.
- Excellent written communication skills with ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PTC Windchill.
- Knowledge of optics or related technical fields.
Education: Associate's Degree
