About the Opportunity

We are currently hiring for a Cloud Engineer position with one of our clients in Dallas, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for technology professionals interested in cloud infrastructure, cloud platforms, automation, networking, security, scalability, and modern IT environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, analytical and troubleshooting skills, and an interest in designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based infrastructure and applications.

Qualified new graduates with relevant computer science or technology education, internships, cloud certifications, academic projects, or hands-on cloud experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Configure and manage cloud resources including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security services.
  • Assist with cloud migrations, deployments, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational processes.
  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep.
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, capacity, and security.
  • Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure, application, networking, and connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, security teams, and IT operations.
  • Support cloud backup, disaster recovery, scalability, and high-availability initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain cloud security, access controls, and identity management practices.
  • Develop scripts and automation using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar technologies.
  • Maintain technical documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, procedures, and operational processes.
  • Assist with cost monitoring and optimization of cloud resources.
  • Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts and infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Basic understanding of networking, operating systems, storage, and databases.
  • Familiarity with Linux or Windows server environments.
  • Understanding of scripting or programming concepts.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a technical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Knowledge of cloud services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, or equivalent services.
  • Familiarity with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM, or Bicep.
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
  • Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, load balancing, and VPNs.
  • Familiarity with IAM, security groups, encryption, and cloud security best practices.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Understanding of DevOps and Agile methodologies.
  • AWS, Azure, GCP, or other cloud certifications are a plus.

New Graduate Consideration

Qualified new graduates are encouraged to apply, particularly candidates with relevant technical degrees and hands-on exposure through internships, academic projects, cloud labs, certifications, capstone projects, or technical training.

Candidates do not necessarily need prior professional experience specifically titled "Cloud Engineer." Experience in Cloud Computing, DevOps, System Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, IT Operations, Software Engineering, or Network Engineering may also be relevant.

Candidates with hands-on experience deploying applications, configuring cloud resources, writing infrastructure automation, or working with AWS, Azure, or GCP through academic or personal projects will be considered.
