Shift 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Travel: Yes -Domestic + International
Travel Frequency: 10-30 Times per year
What you'll do
- Travel to customer sites, including high-tech companies in other countries, to install, level, calibrate and commission MTINC precision CNC slicing and dicing machines
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control problems using FANUC alarms and diagnostics, schematics, manuals and test equipment
- Troubleshoot FANUC software, parameters and settings to get machines running correctly
- Troubleshoot CNC programs (G-code and M-code) with customers when a machine is not cutting to spec
- Verify machine accuracy after installation and repair, and adjust until it meets specification
- Explain the work to customers in plain language, including what was found, what was fixed and what to watch for
- Document every job the same day: work performed, parts used, time on site and any follow-up needed
- Follow company and customer safety procedures on every job, including lockout/tagout and required PPE
- Flag recurring issues and improvement ideas to the service manager and engineering team
- Take part in the [rotating on-call] schedule for urgent service calls
What you bring
We will train the right person, so apply even if you do not check every box.
- Hands-on technical experience in field service, machine tool maintenance, CNC machining or a related trade. Less experience is fine if you have strong mechanical aptitude and want to learn
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability. We can teach wiring diagrams and schematics if you have the fundamentals
- Familiarity with CNC machines and G-code, or the aptitude to pick them up quickly
- Comfort using a multimeter, indicators and other diagnostic and measuring tools
- Clear, professional communication with customers and teammates
- Ability to manage your own schedule and work without direct supervision
- Basic computer and mobile skills for work orders, email and reporting
- Valid driver's license, plus a valid passport or the ability to get one, and the ability to travel internationally
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to have
- Experience installing or servicing CNC machine tools, dicing saws or semiconductor equipment
- Ability to read, edit and debug G-code and M-code programs
- Experience with machine alignment and calibration tools such as [precision levels, indicators, ballbars or laser systems]
- Technical degree, trade school certificate or military technical training
