Job description

We are seeking a skilled, analytical, and solutions-oriented IT Developer to join our technology team. The IT Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining software applications and technology solutions that support business operations and organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate combines strong programming and problem-solving abilities with an understanding of business requirements, system integration, application performance, security, and user experience. This position will work closely with IT professionals, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and internal technology solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Write clean, efficient, scalable, and maintainable code using appropriate programming languages and development frameworks.
  • Develop and integrate APIs, databases, applications, and third-party systems.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application and system issues in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with IT, operations, product, security, and business teams to identify technology requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Perform application testing, code reviews, quality assurance, and performance optimization.
  • Monitor applications and systems to identify potential performance, reliability, and security issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation, development standards, system specifications, and process documentation.
  • Support software deployments, upgrades, patches, and system enhancements.
  • Evaluate existing applications and recommend improvements to functionality, performance, scalability, and usability.
  • Follow established cybersecurity, data protection, coding, and change-management standards.
  • Research emerging technologies and development practices that may improve organizational efficiency.
  • Provide technical support and participate in the resolution of escalated application-related issues.
  • Contribute to automation initiatives designed to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in software or application development.
  • Strong understanding of programming principles, software development methodologies, and database concepts.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or SQL.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
  • Understanding of APIs, web services, application integration, and version-control systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Experience with Git or other version-control platforms.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, or distributed applications.
  • Understanding of application security and secure coding practices.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, containerization, or infrastructure-as-code concepts.
  • Experience working with enterprise applications or business-critical systems.

Compensation

Annual Salary: $85,000–$125,000, depending on experience, technical qualifications, and overall fit for the position.

Additional benefits and incentives may be available in accordance with company policy and the applicable employment arrangement.
