We are seeking a Software Integration Engineer for our client to support the integration and testing of real-time embedded software and hardware on combat vehicle systems. The selected candidate will work with multidisciplinary engineering teams on Linux software integration, networking, scripting, cybersecurity, troubleshooting, and verification testing.
- Integrate and test software applications running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and hardware components within combat vehicle systems.
- Build and maintain software and hardware integration testbeds.
- Use Ethernet and CAN bus protocols to test applications and troubleshoot issues.
- Collaborate with engineering and vehicle test teams to investigate reported problems and analyze collected data.
- Support scripting, cybersecurity hardening, security scans, and software verification testing.
- Apply established engineering principles and practices to meet customer requirements for system functionality, performance, processes, and quality.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
- Relevant internship experience.
- Experience integrating software applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux, including packaging software as RPMs and binary executables and working with drivers, shared objects, and static libraries.
- Ability to build and maintain a software and hardware integration testbed.
- Understanding of Ethernet and CAN bus protocols.
- Familiarity with Git and Jira/GitLab configuration management tools.
- Critical thinking and technical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate with customers to resolve technical issues.
- Ability to travel to customer sites and work on combat vehicle systems.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- One year of relevant experience.
- Experience using NI TestStand.
- Familiarity with embedded systems and combat vehicle functionality.
- Knowledge of Bash, PowerShell, Python, C, or C++.
- Familiarity with VxWorks or other real-time operating systems.
- Familiarity with military and commercial design standards, including MIL-STD-1553.
- Experience with UML modeling tools, DOORS, or CMMI for development.
- Familiarity with the Qt Framework and QML for graphical user interfaces.
- Knowledge of SSL/TLS, SSH, and SFTP.
- Familiarity with Nessus and Coverity scans, system hardening, and STIG implementation.
- Familiarity with configuring and using virtual machines.

Pay Range: $37.00 - $42.00 per hour (Depending on experience and qualifications)
